Why We Built AxisKey
AxisKey started from a frustration we kept running into while raising capital.
Even when the opportunity was strong, the process often felt unpredictable. Some deals gained momentum quickly while others stalled for months. It started to feel like what we called hunting and hoping. Reaching out to investors one by one and hoping the right conversations would eventually turn into commitments.
The more we worked with sponsors and funds the more we realized this was not just our experience. Almost everyone raising capital felt the same way.
Eventually it became clear that the problem was not the opportunity. The problem was the system behind the raise.
Most firms were trying to manage everything with scattered tools, spreadsheets, and manual follow ups. Investor conversations slipped through the cracks and operations became harder to manage as the raise grew.
And once investors committed the work only increased. Firms still had to manage investor records, maintain compliance, send updates, process distributions, and keep relationships strong over time.
We believed the entire process should work better.
So we built AxisKey.
